Job Overview

As a Reservation Agent at Voyzant USA LLC, you will be responsible for assisting our clients in booking domestic and international air reservations, accommodations, tours, and other travel services. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for travel, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has creative ideas in selling travel to our clients to make our client experience memorable!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist clients in booking reservations for travel, tours, accommodations, insurance, and other travel services
  • Understanding client needs and expectations and preparing customized itineraries
  • Utilize Global Distribution System (computerized central reservation system) to create and confirm travel services for clients
  • Observe customer transactions to recognize and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Inform clients of current travel regulations including but not limited to travel visas, medical requirements, limitations on baggage allowance, and relevant and essential information of local standards of services
  • Assist clients in resolving scheduling conflicts, cancellations, and refunds regarding their reservation
  • Ensure clients are informed of any travel changes to their reservation before and during their trip and assist if any interruptions do occur
  • Ensure GDS queues are regularly monitored and files are up to date
  • Handle customer complaints and communicate with airlines to provide a solution for the client
  • Work effectively as a team and supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives
  • Assist in training and providing floor support
  • Keep abreast of airline rules and regulations, airline fares and various industry requirements
  • Maintain solid customer relationships by providing information in response to inquire about products and services with speed and professionalism
  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between existing clients and the company by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs
  • Generate good working relationship with associates and trade partners; and demonstrate a strong team ethic

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of travel consultant experience is a must
  • Demonstrates self-initiative and excellent customer service skills
  • Experienced in working with Global Distribution Systems including but not limited to Sabre, Amadeus and Apollo
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and comfortable working with new technologies
  • Independent and self-started with the ability to collaborate well with others
